      How to import contacts into HubSpot

      To import contacts into HubSpot, follow these steps:

      1. Log in to HubSpot: Go to the HubSpot website and log in to your account.

      2. Navigate to Contacts: In the HubSpot dashboard, click on the "Contacts" tab in the top menu.

      3. Click on "Contacts" Again: In the left sidebar, click on "Contacts" again to access the Contacts dashboard.

      4. Click "Import" in the upper right corner: You'll see an "Import" button in the upper right corner. Click on it.

      5. Choose a File to Import: HubSpot allows you to import contacts from a CSV file, Excel spreadsheet, or other formats. Click the "Choose a file" button to select the file you want to import.

      6. Select an Import Type: You'll be prompted to choose the type of data you are importing. For contacts, select "Contacts."

      7. Map Your Fields: HubSpot will try to automatically map the columns in your file to the corresponding fields in HubSpot. You should review and confirm that the mapping is correct. If there are any discrepancies, you can manually map the fields.

      8. Set Up Additional Options: You'll have the option to configure how you want to handle duplicates and whether to enroll the imported contacts in a workflow. Adjust these settings as needed.

      9. Start the Import: Once you are satisfied with the settings, click the "Next" button. HubSpot will validate your file to ensure it's formatted correctly. If there are any issues, you'll need to address them before proceeding.

      10. Review and Confirm: After the validation is complete and you've reviewed the summary of the import settings, click "Next" again to start the import process.

      11. Wait for the Import to Finish: HubSpot will import your contacts. The time it takes depends on the size of your file. You can leave this page, and HubSpot will notify you when the import is complete.

      12. Review the Import Results: After the import is complete, HubSpot will provide a summary of the results, including the number of contacts imported and any errors encountered.

      That's it! You've successfully imported contacts into HubSpot. Ensure that you review the imported contacts to confirm everything looks correct and that there were no issues during the import process. If there were any errors, you may need to correct them and re-import the data.
